MASTER’S PROGRAM

For over 40 years, Krannert has been one of few top-rated business schools to consistently promote, embrace, appreciate, and recognize the value of diversity throughout the School. The Business Opportunity Program has been a constant force at Krannert, aiding in diversifying the student body and assisting student participants throughout their tenure in business school. BOP supports full-time Master’s students by:

EARLY ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
BOP helps students prepare for the rigorous Krannert curriculum (MBA curriculum; MSHRM curriculum) and business school culture through early preparation and professional development. As a partner of Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), we sponsor students to attend the MLT Career Transition and Leadership Seminar in New York to boost knowledge and skills needed to be successful at Krannert. Hear Ian Allen discuss the rigorous Krannert curriculum and Jenny Tvedt describe how what she learned in the classroom was vital to her professional development by delivering results for her consulting project through Krannert’s Experiential Learning Initiative below:

CAREER COUNSELING & ASSISTANCE
Students in BOP receive career counseling, and internship and full-time job search assistance. Through the extensive and robust BOP alumni network, alumni serve as mentors to current students and resources for job placement, as well as provide access to top business organizations. With the culture of a family environment, both internal and external constituents of BOP work together to ensure students receive successful starts to their careers upon leaving Krannert. FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Krannert students enjoy a strong financial commitment from the Krannert School and Purdue University. Students may be offered support in the form of a Master’s fellowship, funded by corporations and the University. In addition, support is available through services a student provides to the University in the form of an assistantship. Assistantships come in the form of teaching assistants, staff members of the Admissions and Graduate Career Services offices, and other positions within Krannert and campus wide. BOP provides fellowships and assistantships which are quarter-time (10 hours per week). The assistantship provides a substantial exemption of tuition and fees, in addition to a stipend received each academic year.
